Today Sigma released two previously announced lenses.
SIGMA 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC MACRO OS HSM
The first is the SIGMA 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC MACRO OS HSM. A general purpose lens that is the first member of the Contemporary lens line-up. It’s a compact lens but packed with big capabilities. It has a large aperture of up to F2.8, packs an optical stability system and has a minimal focusing distance of only 22cm. The expected retail price in the USA is $499.
SIGMA 120-300mm F2.8 DG OS HSM
The second lens that was released today is the first member of the Sports lens line-up, the SIGMA 120-300mm F2.8 DG OS HSM. This a new version of the highly regarded large aperture telezoom lens that has been popular with many sport and wildlife photographers. The optical stabilizer makes this lens very versatile. The expected retail price in the USA is $3,599.
Sigma USB Dock
Released along the two new lenses was the industry first USB Dock that enables you to update lens firmware update and adjust parameters such as focus. For Sports lenses the AF speed, focus limiter and OS function are also customizable.
